Did You Catch That?

It has been NINE months since my last blog post! I cannot even believe that! It surely doesn't feel like it's been that long, but looking at my site, it definitely has been. I wanted to write this post as a way of getting back in touch with my readers/followers. There have been so many wonderful things happening for me in my personal life and my business life and I think you guys should know about it!

Back in August of 2016, I gave birth to my second baby girl and we named her Leighton. She is a sweet baby who is loved by everyone around her and she loves them right back. Having her has changed quite a few things for our little family. We decided before she came along that we needed to sell our home and buy a bigger one, so we did. It was not an easy process and if any of you are looking to sell/ buy a home, my sincerest prayers and thoughts are with you as you tackle that feat. It was one of the most stressful and rewarding times of my life and it made me decide that we will not be moving again!
Isn't she a cutie?
With Leighton came the idea that I needed to take a step back from my work and focus on how to be a mommy to two girls. It has been a trying and difficult time for me because for six years, I've only had one baby to love and give all my attention to. For any mommies (or soon to be mommies) of two or more children, I applaud you, I'm praying for you, and I'm on your side! You've got this, and you are superwoman! You will look back on these days and wonder how you didn't go insane and you'll cherish the memories forever. We just have to get through this part first!

While taking my break from photography, I had the idea that I needed to think about re-branding. I had a successful five and a half years as Kiss of Country Photography, but as my business outgrew my old camera, it also outgrew it's name. As of October 13th, 2016 Kiss of Country Photography became simply, Brittany Dennis Photography. It took over six months to re-brand everything and switch it all over to my new address as well. It has taken so long, but now that it's done, I'm so happy with the change!
Did you catch the bible verse in there? That verse has become the main focus of my work now. If you didn't know, Psalm 63:3 states: "Because Your love is greater than life, my lips will glorify You." I chose that verse to be my focus because just like in my life and my marriage, God needs to be the focal point. If it weren't for His love and blessings in my life, I would't have the things I have now. My husband, my children, my talent, my work, my company, my family, all of them are gifts from God because He loves me and He loves you. So, I feel the need to make a point of telling the world just how great my God is.
I'm not going to preach about it, but adding some God to my work has proved to be a wonderful decision and it's given me the opportunity to speak out about my faith and hopefully turn someone onto the word of God and potentially change someone's life. Leading people to Christ is what I hope I accomplish and even if it's just ONE person, I will feel like I did something right.
I have hopes to expand in my work and my business in the coming months and years, so be on the lookout! There are also some coupons floating around here and there, so take full advantage if you can! I love meeting new people and trying new things and I'm open to all kinds of work that you guys are willing to give me! I hope you all have a wonderful end to your week! I look forward to sharing some of the work I've been doing recently and there is definitely another blog post coming (maybe tomorrow?).
All the blessings and love,
Brittany
