Meet Jackson! This fella gave me the opportunity to pick up my camera after a fairly lengthy hiatus! Isn't he a doll?

Over the course of the hour that I spent with him, I got him to open up and give me some insight into his awesome personality. It turns out that he's a guitar player, specifically enjoying the electric guitar...*cue the beautiful Fender*

Jackson is the son of a wonderful woman who I work with at the hospital and someone that I call my friend. That being said, it really meant a lot for her to ask me to photograph him for his senior portraits!

I shot his session in Benson using my handy, dandy Nikon. It was a mostly cloudy day, making for the perfect lighting. It really suits him, don't you think?
As I told Jackson while I was photographing him, men are so easy. You tell a man where to stand, how to stand, they do it, and BAM: a great photo. Somehow, every pose I envisioned for him turned out to be exactly what I wanted through direction and lighting. I really couldn't have asked for a better subject!
I hope I get to continue to follow him and his family over the coming years! I haven't had so many good photos come out of a session in awhile, and working with such a kind, sweet person made the day so much more fun!
So, here's to the rest of your senior year, Jackson! I hope it gives you many memories and allows you to learn more about yourself and your goals. Enjoy it-it's over in a flash!
