As I sit here writing this, I'm actually in a bit of a hurry. I want to write this awesome blog post to go with these wonderful photos that I took of a beautiful wedding last weekend. I'm in a hurry because I want to continue editing those fantastic photos.

When Meredith approached me to photograph her wedding, I was curious as to what kind of setting there was going to be for both sides of the wedding party to get ready.
As most men do, there were no frills, just guys getting ready and laughing about the current demise of their friend on his wedding day.
The women were getting ready in a house that was truly nothing short of beautiful. Overlooking the lake, the house had a loft overlooking the livingroom where I shot this photo to the left. The home really was the perfect setting for photos.
I really wish I could transplant that house to my current residence! Seriously...... beautiful!

Along with my curiosity over the site of the photos of everyone getting ready, I wondered about the actual site of the ceremony and the reception to follow. I've only seen a few outdoor chapels and this one was nothing like what I had expected. It was simple, yet romantic.

It should be noted that the groom, Dylan, and his group of men were hilarious and a dream to work with! They were willing to work with me and gave me some new, clever ideas to run with. Aren't the just handsome?

One thing that always amazes me about photographing weddings, is that I get so attached to my subjects. I catch myself thinking about them while I'm editing the photos they're in. I remember things about each of them so vividly, and I wonder if it's that way with all photographers. Even as I sit here writing this, I wonder if they'll love the moments I captured of them, of if one of my photos takes them back in time to this day, where they stood with people they love as they dedicated their lives to one another..... ever the romantic, I know.

I haven't known Meredith for that long, but she is exceptionally kind and beautiful. It really was an honor to photograph her and Dylan on their big day.
